In Zambia school is not free. Children from kindergarten to college have to pay every quarter or semester to attend school. Children whose parents cannot afford to pay are forced to drop out. A lot of children, have never been to school because their parents have no money for them to even start. Village Hope recognizes and believes that every child counts and needs conscious support and encouragement in order to succeed. We have been helping on a small scale by sponsoring a few Primary and Secondary School students. We have been paying school fees for them and providing school supplies.
Village Hope also has sponsored four young people to college and vocational training. Three have already graduated and the fourth one is in his last year of nursing school. Village Hope international Ministries Inc. hopes to expand in this area as funds become available. By supporting the development of mind, body, and soul, Village Hope International Ministries provides as many individuals as possible with a thorough foundation for future success.
